Celebrity Equinox sets sail in Europe

Celebrity Cruises’ latest ship has taken to the high seas and it is hoped two of the US cruise line’s fastest growing source markets - Europe and the Middle East - will be filling up the cabins on this luxury vessel.


Celebrity Equinox, the second of Celebrity’s Solstice class ships following the launch of Celebrity Solstice in November, set sail from Southampton, the UK, on Thursday July 23 with many elite guests on board such as Celebrity Cruises president and CEO Dan Hanrahan, Middle East press including Arabian Travel News and several members of the travel trade.


In an exclusive interview on board the ship, Hanrahan told ATN that he hoped Equinox would attract a large EMEA following given that these were two of the fastest growing source markets for Celebrity Cruises and two of its sister brands, Royal Caribbean and Azamara.
